Delete your account
You can delete your RiftArmada account yourself, in the game, at any time. If you cannot use the game, ask us and we will do it for you.
This cannot be undone.
Deleting removes everything on your account, in every world, and signs it out on every device. We cannot bring a deleted account back.
Want a copy of your data first? Ask for it in the game before you delete (Settings, Account, Your data): once the account is gone, we can no longer send the link.
In the game
- Open RiftArmada and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings, then the Account tab.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Enter your password to confirm, then press Delete Forever.
The account is deleted at once, and we send a confirmation to its email address, if it has one.
Without the game
If you no longer have the game, or cannot sign in to it, ask us in one of two ways:
- Email contact@riftarmada.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account” and your login name or one of your nicknames. Writing from that address is how we know the request is yours.
- Or sign in to the help centre on this website and open a ticket under Account and signing in. Being signed in shows us the account is yours, so this also works for an account with no email address.
We delete the account within one month at the latest, usually much sooner, and reply when it is done. If we cannot tell that the account is yours, we ask before deleting anything.
What we delete, and what we keep
Deleted at once
- Your email address, login name, password and any linked sign-in
- Your sign-in history: the addresses and devices you played from
- Your sign-in tokens, pending links, and every email we queued or sent you
- Your email address on your support tickets
- Your nicknames, replaced by “del-” and the pilot’s number, so others can take them
Kept, but no longer naming you
- That the account passed the age check, and which version of our Terms it accepted and when
- The ledger of currency changes and rewards behind each pilot, with the pilots’ game records
- Reports and moderation records
- Daily sign-in records and earnings totals
- Chat messages and play-session times, until their 90 days run out
Once your account is anonymised these records name nobody. We keep them as proof that an account existed, was age-checked and accepted our Terms, and that in-game transactions happened, which we may need to meet a legal obligation or to defend a claim. The privacy policy has the full detail.
